Questions and Answers on the Electro-Luber

Q: "We've just got our people trained to the point where they grease strictly 'by the book.' They follow a set routine, keeping the fittings clean, and always apply the right grease... So why do we need Electro-Lubers?"

A: If you're sure that your equipment is being faithfully greased, in all weather, even where fittings are hard to reach, even when regular employees are off sick or on vacation - well done! But - and this is important - you can still benefit tremendously from the Electro-Luber. A constant flow of precisely measured grease is far friendlier to your bearings than the 'feast-or-famine" approach of a manual grease gun. In a dusty setting, like a gravel pit or surface mine, that steady flow will help keep out air-borne contaminants. In an underground mine or other damp and acidic environment, it will flush out moisture and harmful chemicals.

Q: "Aren't you forgetting that an experienced oiler making the rounds - I mean a real person now, not an electrode - performs an important secondary role by sniffing out potential problems? Even your Electro-Luber can't do that."

A: The only thing we disagree with there is that we don't see 'sniffing out potential problems' as a secondary role. In today's competitive business environment, maintenance people should be spending more time identifying trouble spots, and less time pumping endlessly on grease guns. The Electro-Luber makes that possible.

Q: "I work for an extremely cautious company. Even with all the benefits the Electro-Luber promises, I can't see my boss giving the nod to any product until it's proven itself on the job."

A: In that case you'll really appreciate the Electro-Luber's credentials. It's currently in use in more than 40 countries. The numerous success stories include a western Canada pipeline operator where Electro-Lubers have extended the average life of electric motors from 8,000 to 20,000 hours.

Q: "Some so-called time-saving devices take forever to get up and running. How easy are these things to install?"

A: As easy as threading the Electro-Luber into a standard grease point. If your fittings are other than stardard size, low-priced adapters are readily available. Adapters will also allow you to install the units at a different angle if space is tight. Q:"Our company is now very serious about environmental issues. Packing grease into a container that has a limited life-span doesn't strike me as being all that ecologically helpful."

A: We agree. That's why used Electro-Lubers are returned, rebuilt and recycled - with a refundable deposit. We share your concern for the environment, and think you'll agree that Electro-Lubers help considerably by reducing waste and letting us all make the most of our non-renuable resources.
